What is KVPY ?

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a national level fellowship program in basic sciences conducted by the Department Of Science and Technology, Government Of India to attract talented students for a research career in science. This exam is conducted for students of Class XI (SA), Class XII(SB), and 1st Year Undergraduates (SX). This is a highly competitive national-level exam where, about 2800 students are selected from SA, SB, and SX stream for fellowship. Generous fellowships are provided up to the pre-Ph.D. level to the selected KVPY Fellows. To crack this exam, students need to build strong concepts in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and they need to practice previous years papers to have a good knowledge of the exam pattern.
